Daycha Ahumada
Daycha has been a faithful member of the Emmanuel community since 2019, where she’s found a deep sense of love and belonging among her church family. Originally from Texas, Daycha moved to the Bay Area in 2012 with her late husband, Raymond, and together they built a beautiful life with their daughter.
With a background in teaching, Daycha now serves as a state employee, continuing her lifelong commitment to helping others. Her passion for service started early, leading her to volunteer with Americorps, CASA, and the Big Sister program. Daycha’s heart for her community remains strong, and she’s excited to make a meaningful impact by serving on the WE council.

Leslie Anderson, Women’s Ministry Director
Leslie has served the community of Emmanuel in many capacities for 37 years. She currently serves in the music ministry, prayer group, is a decision counselor, and is a DITW teacher; other previous ministries include the Program committee (where she was the chair of the famous “Down Home Day”
celebration) and Nominated committee.
Leslie was the President and Founder of All That Women & Girls Inc, a non-profit faith based organization, for many years. She has led workshops at women conferences on the topic of Prayer.
Jannie Archangel
Jannie Archangel joined Emmanuel Baptist Church in 2008 while attending college at San Jose State University. Originally from San Diego, California, Jannie has made San Jose her home away from home, cultivating many close relationships within Emmanuel by participating in various church groups and ministries (Bible Study, Renaissance Faith Podcast, Women’s Ministry, etc). Working as an administrative manager, Jannie has utilized her God given gifts to help serve in church and do God’s work for his people. As a member of the Women’s Ministry, Jannie’s hope to see the women of Emmanuel flourish and be empowered by God’s word through love, leadership, and light.
Christiana Bangura
Christiana Memuna Bangura, born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, West Africa. She is the proud mom of three wonderful children, two boys and a girl. She has four siblings, three sisters in the U.S and one brother in Sierra Leone.
Christiana migrated to the United State after high school to pursue higher education at San Jose City College in 1988 where she graduated with an AA Degree in Administrative Support. She is thankful for her parent's best friend and his wife, Mr. Ambrose and the late Mary Dauda, for giving her the opportunity to come to the U.S.
She is currently an Administrative Assistant II, with the Intake & Assessment, Outpatient Team with Momentum for Health, and also works as a Direct Care Staff at night with Spread Your Wings, San Jose location.
Christiana joined Emmanuel eleven years ago, and has served in the Usher's Ministry since. She is excited to be working with the Women’s Ministry and all the amazing women and is ready to serve and learn.
Her hobbies include cooking, traveling, reading, movies, listening to the word of God, and taking care of my family, here and abroad.

Yaneese Dixon-Brown
Yaneese Dixon Brown has been a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, serving in the Music Ministry since moving to San Jose in the early 90’s. She is originally from Jersey City, New Jersey. She is married to Anthony Brown and they have a daughter Tacoya, and she has a bonus daughter Sabrina and grandson Kareem. She became a licensed Cosmetologist in 1993, and has been a Stylist/ Independent Contractor of Styles By Yaneese for the past 31 years. The most rewarding part of her job is watching a woman’s face when her hair is done or when she sees her new look for the first time. Her whole attitude changes right before your eyes and it’s very gratifying. I’m also a member of a nonprofit organization called Live the Dream Network Inc where I serve as the event director. I have to say though, that God is up to something, because I’m so out of my comfort zone. However in obedience, I look forward to being a part of this group of women, and seeing what we can accomplish together.
Larena Fewell
Larena Fewell has been a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for many years and has served in the Youth and Young Adult Choir, Live Choir as well as the Coffee Ministry. She was a board member of All That Women and Girls Inc. and served in Shepherds Heart Ministry, dedicated to encouraging and empowering Women and girls of all ages.
By day, Larena is an accountant and cat mom. She is also a cofounder of a nonprofit Leaders of Tomorrow, that focuses on mental health education. Larena is a dedicated member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. First and foremost, she is someone who loves God and his people.
Katherine House
Katherine House loves the Lord, and she loves her Emmanuel family. She began attending Emmanuel in 1991, when she graduated from New Mexico Tech and moved to San Jose to take a position with IBM. She officially joined EBC in 1995, and she has faithfully served God's people as a member and leader in several ministries, including the Usher Board, the LIVE Choir, the Church Council, the WMU & Women's Ministry, and the Counting Committee. Katherine was joined in marriage to James House II in 2015. Retired from IBM in 2023, she enjoys traveling, reading, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.
Jessica Jones
Jessica Jones recently joined Emmanuel Baptist Church in 2023. Jessica is currently the receptionist at EBC where she enjoys helping others in various ways. Jessica proudly co-hosts Renaissance Faith Podcast alongside two amazing women of EBC, attends Wednesday night bible study, assists with DITW and most recently stepped into a new role as council member for the Women’s Ministry. Outside of life at Emmanuel, Jessica is also pursuing a degree in healthcare and currently works as a CNA at a post-acute facility where she enjoys taking care of the patients under her care. Jessica is very honored to be a part of the women's ministry and looks forward to all of the amazing things she believes God has in store for the women at Emmanuel. “Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”-Ephesians 3:20 NLT
Corí Keene
Corí Keene has been a member of Emmanuel since 2018. Originally from Monterey County, she moved to San Jose over a decade ago. A widow to the late Eddison Keene, who also attended Emmanuel, she found a comforting church home in this community. Corí is currently a member in Emmanuel’s Worship & Arts Ministry, where she says she has encountered exceptional individuals who share a deep love for the Lord. She feels her faith journey is flourishing, and she anticipates great things unfolding at this church. Corí is thrilled to contribute to the new Women’s Ministry and share her spiritual growth with other amazing women!
Jada Martin
Jada Martin, a recent addition to the Emmanuel family since November 2023, is an active member serving on both the counting committee and the Women’s Ministry. Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, she relocated to San Jose, California in June 2023 following her graduation from Howard University with a B.B.A. in Marketing.
Having grown up in the church, Jada is deeply committed to spreading the word and love of God, and is passionately dedicated to giving back to the community.
Natarshia Mosley
As an active member of the Women's Department and part of the new Women's Counsel group, I am deeply involved in empowering initiatives. Alongside my commitment, I am a Marketing Campaign Manager at Cisco Systems. With over three decades of marriage to my husband Chris Mosley and raising three children, the family holds a central place in my life. Additionally, I proudly serve as the Program Director for Emmanuel's Legacy Prep Afterschool Program and contribute as a dedicated member of Emmanuel's Praise and Worship team. My diverse engagement reflects my dedication to professional excellence, family values, and empowering women within my community.
Dorothy Robinson
Dorothy Robinson has been a dedicated member of Emmanuel for over 35 years.
Active on various committees including Women’s Chorus, Altar Guild, Counting Committee and Women's Mission.
Dorothy is a native of Arkansas where she attended Philander Smith College before transferring to San Francisco State University, where she majored in Biology.
Dorothy is married to Deacon Bill Robinson, and they have one daughter and two grandsons.
Dorothy is committed to Emmanuel and its mission!
